A sustainable multimodal logistics solutions company, which connects railways, ports, and terminals, faced the challenge of automating the operations of loading and unloading trucks at its ports and terminals. The goal was to increase operational efficiency and reduce the need for manual intervention in cargo handling processes.
Solution
Using an integration strategy, we implemented a communication bus with IoT sensors, enabling orchestration and data capture from totems, facial recognition cameras, and OCR systems. Additionally, we validated entry scheduling at the terminal. Once the checks were validated, the entire process — from gate opening, communication via textual displays, to data capture from scales — was automated, eliminating the need for human intervention.
Results
Significant reduction in manual operations at automated ports and terminals, and reduced labour costs, especially during harvest seasons
Increased turnaround speed within terminals, expanding reception capacity
Reduced waiting time for trucks entering ports and terminals
~80% of ports and terminals automated
~20% reduction in operational costs
+40% optimisation of manual operations at ports and terminals
Challenge
A Brazilian airline with digitised business processes faced difficulties in calculating, adjusting, and publishing airfares. The entire process was manual, had to meet legal requirements, consumed more than half the workday, and hindered the implementation of a more dynamic and efficient pricing strategy. The company needed to modernise this process to optimise its operations, improve competitiveness, and increase sales volume.
Solution
Using data structures, automation, and an integration strategy, we developed an application that compiles market pricing information from competing companies, performs automated fare parity, and suggests pricing through a calculation engine designed according to the company's internal rules. For secondary markets, the application enables not only automated pricing but also the publication of new fares, resulting in greater efficiency.
Results
Modernisation and automation of the process for calculating, adjusting, and publishing airfares
Significant reduction in processing time, enabling a faster and more efficient pricing strategy
Improved operational agility, increasing competitiveness in the low-cost market
100% of calculations automated
80% reduction in calculation time and price availability
~20% of fares published automatically
Challenge
A railway logistics and transport company was seeking a solution to centralise and consolidate maintenance operation tickets. The goal was to unify access to engineering manuals, manage incidents, facilitate shift transfers between attendants, and implement a decision tree based on registered assets and related issues, offering possible solutions efficiently.
Solution
Using an architecture strategy aligned with the client's environment, we developed a web application that consolidates maintenance operation tickets, centralises access to engineering manuals and knowledge bases, manages incidents, organises shift transfers between attendants, and provides a decision tree based on three pillars: assets, symptoms, and possible solutions.
Results
Better organisation of failure incident data for future predictive analysis
Greater accuracy in identifying the root cause of incidents
Electronic tracking of the service cycle, including shift transfers
100% centralisation of knowledge base and technical documentation
~20% reduction in maintenance ticket handling time
